National Family Caregivers Month 2025
Each November, National Family Caregivers Month recognizes and honors family and friend caregivers. JAHF joins the Caregiver Action Network, the Administration for Community Living, our grantees and other partners in the month-long campaign to raise awareness of caregiving issues, educate communities, show recent progress and increase support for the more than 63 million caregivers across the country.
Family Caregivers Month
The Caregiver Action Network (CAN) leads the
observance of National Family Caregivers Month and has selected the 2025 theme, Plug-in to Care, to focus on connection—helping caregivers easily “plug in” to vital support tools, trusted networks, and educational resources that can make the caregiving journey less overwhelming and more supported.

Caregiving in the US 2025
Earlier this year, NAC and AARP released the latest report from Caregiving in the US (CGUS), the nation’s leading ongoing data project on family caregiving. First conducted in 1997, CGUS provides a regular pulse check on the economic and healthcare realities of America’s growing community of family caregivers. This year’s report is the most comprehensive look yet at the realities facing family caregivers across the country:
- Download the Caregiving in the US 2025 report.
- Visit the CGUS 2025 Data Hub, which brings to life the data, trends and insights from the report.
- Visit Caregiving in the US 2025: Caring Across States, NAC's state-level analysis of data from the report.
Advocacy and Implementation Resources for the National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers
Implementation of the 2022 National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers continues through the work of national, state and nonprofit advocacy partners.
- The Caregiver Nation Coalition (formerly Act on RAISE), led by NAC in solidarity with the aging, disability rights and patient advocacy communities, is bringing together stakeholders across the caregiving continuum to strengthen the National Strategy.
- NAC's new Federal Funding Tracker enables advocates to track and understand federal funding allocations for critical programs that support family caregivers.
- SupportCaregiving.org, from NASHP, offers resources that employers, funders, managed care plans and states can use to implement the National Strategy.
- Grantmakers in Aging created an Action Guide For Philanthropy for SupportCaregiving.org and as part of its Family Caregiving Funders Community.
