The Center for Consumer Engagement in Health Innovation (the Center) has released a video blog, "Lifting Up Older Adult Voices for Advocacy."

In the video, volunteer consumer leader Debbie McCarthy-Arnone discusses the power that older adults can have when they acquire advocacy skills that can help them speak up to improve programs that serve them.

In 2017, Pennsylvania was in the midst of launching a new managed care program to provide long-term services and supports for dually eligible older adults and people with disabilities. Debbie McCarthy-Arnone took part in a training co-conducted by staff from the Center for Consumer Engagement in Health Innovation and from the Pennsylvania Health Action Network (PHAN) using the Center’s Lift Up Your Voice curriculum.
