Apply: GSA Journalists in Aging Fellows Program

GSA program

The Gerontological Society of America (GSA) and the Journalists Network on Generations are welcoming applications - from journalists who wish to cover issues in aging and/or who work for ethnic media outlets serving U.S. communities - for the tenth year of the Journalists in Aging Fellows Program.

The program has two goals: to educate journalists about issues in aging, better allowing them to spread a new awareness both to ethnic and general-audience populations; and to disseminate information about new scientific findings, policy debates, innovations, and evidence-based solutions.

Since its founding in 2010, this program has been responsible for nearly 700 news stories produced by 156 alumni.

Support in 2019 is provided by grants from The Silver Century Foundation, The Retirement Research Foundation, The Commonwealth Fund and The John A. Hartford Foundation.
