COVID-19 Resources for Nursing Homes & Long-Term Care (Updated 3/14)

Residents and staff of nursing homes and other long-term care facilities are facing incredible challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other federal and national organizations have released guidance and resources for the sector. The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), with support from The John A. Hartford Foundation as part of the Age-Friendly Health Systems movement, launched a free COVID-19 Rapid Response Network for Nursing Homes in May 2020. It featured daily 20-minute National Nursing Home Huddles with practical, real-time solutions that could be implemented immediately to address key challenges posed by COVID-19.
That work evolved into the National Nursing Home COVID-19 Action Network, a partnership between the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, Project ECHO and IHI.
